Chicago Christian Music

Our Mission

Chicago Christian Music is a non-profit site with a desire to:

1) Let the general public know about local Christian music events, radio, etc.

2) Support and equip local Christian musicians.

3) Support and equip local Christian coffeehouses and other venues.

Scope

We desire to include all Christian music resources within about a 150 mile or 3 hour drive from downtown Chicago.

For bands outside of the area who frequent Chicago and would like to be included, a $5 donation is requested. This prevents our site from being diluted by too many non-local listings.

Additions

Musicians / Bands:

Please email a link to your band's web site (you MUST have a web site to be listed on Chicago Christian Music) and ideally a 128 by 128 pixel graphic in either .jpg or .gif format with a file size under 4K. The preferred graphic is usually your group's latest CD cover. Also include the name of your latest CD project, if applicable. If it is too hard for you to provide a graphic as requested, we can get the information directly off the web site. If you have full length MP3's on your site sampled at 128K or above, please let us know and your site will be designated as such.

Coffeehouses / Venues:

Please include your preferred graphic, ideally 128 pixels in height by any width under 300 pixels max. If it is too hard for you to provide a graphic as requested, we can get the information directly off the web site. You do NOT need a web site to be listed on Chicago Christian Music. Also include as many of these as you want listed:

• Venue Name
• Web address
• Address
• Phone
• Fax
• Booking contact name
• Venue owner
• Name of supporting ministry / church (with web address if available)
• Email address
• Days and hours of operation: is it monthly, weekly, daily, etc.
• Number of people that your venue handles seated as well as number standing (per fire code).
• Info on your menu, special food or coffee items
• Cost: typical door fee / donation, or if a love offering is taken, etc.
• Age group: is it geared for youth, young adults, adults, family-friendly (with kids), etc.

And info for the musicians and bands:

• Stage size: can a whole band fit on the stage or is it best suited for just a single or few musicians?
• Music equipment available to musicians - is a sound system available? Inlude number of channels in your mixer, number of mics, monitors, size of speakers, amps, etc.
• Any info on stage lighting or controllers - number of lights, channels
• Special loading instructions - load from back of building, must go up steps, etc.
• Volume preference: you expect the band to keep it down to where people can hold a conversation (ok, I'm dreaming here...)

But if you feel too overwhelmed by this list, just send us your web site address, and we'll try to eventually figure it all out!

Radio Stations:

Please send a link to your web site, a link to your streaming audio if available, a graphic (ideally 128 pixels wide by any height up to 128 pixels max). Also include your call sign, frequency, city of license, and any info you want listed about your format.

Event sites, Magazines and all others:

Please send a link to your web site, a graphic (ideally 128 pixels wide by any height up to 128 pixels max), and any info you want included.
